University Facilities

Stanford campus is very impressive and one of the first things you do with us is to take an orientation tour to discover the beauty and layout of the campus.

Here are some of the campus highlights you will be able to enjoy:

What the Parents Said

"The course was very well organised and I felt my daughter was well taken care of as soon as she arrived in San Francisco and throughout the whole three weeks. As a parent of a youngster this age this is so very important. Thank you for everything! - Sue Bischel, July 2011."

Stanford has 18 major Libraries open to you where you will have the unique opportunity to learn how to research material using the most advanced techniques. This will provide you with valuable skills when you begin your Extended Essay and in later college life. You can also pick up your email, work or simply browse and enjoy the library.

Available sports venues include swimming pools, tennis courts (provide your own rackets), a golf driving range and course(green fees are not included in ISC fees), soccer, basketball and volleyball fields and track facilities!

Tressider Memorial Student Union - this is the community centre of the campus where you will find Jamba Juice for delicious freshly squeezed juices and smoothies and the CoHo Coffee House with soups, sandwiches, salads and drinks. There is also an amazing University bookstore with a coffee shop and lots of interesting books to buy and peruse at your leisure. Additionally, in this area you will find a bank, a travel centre, restaurants, an information centre and a Track House sports shop selling Stanford sports clothes and equipment.

Other interesting locations are the Hoover Tower with great views of Stanford and the Bay area, the interdenominational Memorial Church with wonderful mosaics, the Rodin Sculpture garden with the world's second largest collection of Rodin's works, the SLAC (Stanford Linear Accelerator) and the Art Gallery with varying exhibits from around the world.
